Larry Overcash

Obituary: Larry Wilson Overcash, 73, passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at his residence surrounded by his family. Mr. Overcash was born February 23, 1941 in Rowan County to the late Floyd Wilson Overcash and Flora Dagenhardt Overcash. He was a member of St. Enoch Lutheran Church; he retired from Carolina Tractor and Equipment Company; He loved to fish, hunt, and gardening. Larry loved to watch things grow. He enjoyed doing fish fry's for his church, family, and friends. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Pam Overcash; five children, Ricky Overcash (Tami) of Mint Hill, NC, Eric Overcash (Lorrie) of Kannapolis, Angie Byars of Kannapolis, Lisa Nelson (Ric) of Lexington, KY., and Teena Lambert of Kannapolis; eight grandchildren, Brandon Overcash, Edward Jervis, Amber McCune, Emily McCune, Brittany Byars, Austin Byars, Cassidy Nelson, and J.T. Nelson; and one sister, Kay Royer (Ron) of Spruce Pine, NC. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 16, 2014 at St. Enoch Lutheran Church with the Rev. John Merck and Rev. John Mark Beam officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
