Larry Wayne Pittmon

Obituary: - Larry Wayne Pittmon, 64, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 at his residence. Larry was born December 3, 1947 in Cabarrus County to the late James and Marie Pittmon. He worked for Cannon Mills, Fieldcrest Cannon, and Pillowtex for 33 years; he was a U.S. Army veteran; and was of the Wesleyan Faith. Survivors include his wife, Christel C. Pittmon; a daughter, Lori Pittmon Stewart; two granddaughters, Kennedy Grace Stewart and Syndney Elisabeth Stewart; five brothers, Seabert Pittmon, Grady Pittmon, Jerry Pittmon, Roger Pittmon, and Mike Pittmon; and three sisters, Idell Overcash, Martha Fink, and Helen McAllister. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Clyde Pittmon, Charlie Pittmon, and Elmore Pittmon. A funeral service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ronald Rider officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 12:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday prior to the service at Whitley's Funeral Home.
