Larry Dean Shaver

Larry Dean Shaver, 83 years old, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 30, 2022.  Larry was born on June 5, 1938 in Concord, NC to the late James and Nora Garver Shaver.

Larry attended Winecoff School in Concord.  He was an owner/operator truck driver for many years going by the CB handle Nickelodeon. Prior he worked at Richie Auto Parts in Concord.  He loved classic and antique cars. He frequently attended car shows, entering his own vehicles.  Larry loved going out to eat, especially Gary’s BBQ in China Grove. He loved spending time with his family and had a great sense of humor.  Prior to GPS being invented, Larry was a human GPS; he could give directions to anywhere.

Larry was predeceased by his brother, Jimmy Shaver; his mother-in-law, Ruby Trembley; his sister-in-law, Lillie T. Shaver and his brother-in-law, Edward Lewis Trembley.  Those left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Teressa Trembley Shaver; his children, Eric Shaver and his wife Angie, Crystal Martin and her husband Bill; step children, Ricky Smith and his wife Amy and Lori Miller and her husband Kevin; brother Norman Shaver; his sister, Linda Wingler “Lulu” and her husband Ernest; his grandchildren, Josh Shaver and his wife Larissa, Faith Martin, Courtneay Daniels and her husband Timothy, Ryan Miller, Bethany, Jenna, Joel and Tyler Conaway; his great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Braxton, Carter, Nolan, Damien, Kaden, Payten and Lanni; his brother-in-law, Douglas Trembley and his wife Charlotte; his sisters-in-law, Mona Rollins and her husband Terry and Kelly Stencill and her husband Timothy, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial gathering will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 6-8pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 8pm in the Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Memorial contributions can be made in Larry’s memory to either the Northwest Cabarrus Bible Teaching Association or to Clermont Freewill Baptist Church.
