Larry Wayne Tucker

Obituary: Larry Wayne Tucker, Sr., 69, of Kannapolis passed away on February 22, 2015. He was born July 4, 1945 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late Gurley Burns Tucker, Sr. and Pearl Rimer Tucker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loraine G. Tucker December 27, 2014. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Clarence Tucker. Larry was owner of Larry Tucker Construction and Tucker Wells and Pumps. He was a member of Sloan Lake Community Church where he was a deacon. He loved the mountains, riding four wheelers and running his tractors. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Sloan Lake Community Church officiated Dr. Zachary Sizemore. Burial will follow at Zion Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 PM Tuesday at the church. He is survived by his children, Larry Wayne Tucker, Jr., Kenny Wayne Tucker, Nick Wayne Tucker, grandchildren, Amber Taylor, Laura (Punkin) Tucker, Johnny (Bubba) Tucker, Weston Wayne Tucker, adopted grandchildren" Morgan and Dillon Ritchie, great grandchildren, Madilynn and McKenzie Taylor, brothers, Grady, Jerry, Rev. Vaudry, Red, Rev. Ronald and Gerald Tucker and sisters, Sylvia Campbell, Nancy Milam and Cathy Hill.
Visitation: 4:00-9:00 Tuesday February 24, 2015 Sloan Lake Community Church.

Service: 2:00PM Wednesday February 25, 2014 Sloan Lake Community Church.

Interment: Zion Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
