Obituary: Larry W. Walker, 79, of Kannapolis, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Tucker Hospice House. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Whitley's Annex Chapel with the Rev. Loyd Ginn and Rev. John Futterer officiating, burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Thursday, prior to the service at the Annex Chapel. He was born November 13, 1939 in Rowan County to the late Herbert Lee Walker and Dorothy Ritchie Walker. Larry worked at Cannon Mills for many years in the maintenance department and later on worked for Carolina Mall as a security guard. He was also a Mason. Larry enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and also youth athletics. Those left to cherish his memory, his wife of 57 years Betty Walker, two sons Eric Walker and his wife Tracey of Concord, Jeff Walker of Salisbury, three grandchildren, Katie Walker, Bryan Walker, and Logan Walker.
