Obituary: Donald Ray Ludwick, 76, of 1001 Fisher Street, Concord died at CMC-NorthEast on Monday, December 26, 2011.Mr. Ludwick was born in Rowan Co. on March 3, 1935, the son of the late Lee Richard Ludwick and Virginia Dare Pope Ludwick. Mr. Ludwick was an ordained Baptist Deacon and a lifelong member of Fisher Street Baptist being faithful in serving the church in many ways. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and had worked for many years with Bangle Brothers Hosiery Mill and later retired with Shogren Hosiery Mill. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Mary Ruth Henry Ludwick of the home, a son; Terry Ludwick and wife, Melanie of Concord a grandson, Christopher Lee Ludwick also of Concord , and a sister, Barbara Church of Concord. He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Lee Ludwick of Concord.The funeral service will take place a 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Leonard Ewing. Burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9 - 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home before the service.
