Obituary: Kannapolis, NC Larry Wayne Griffin, 70, of Kannapolis passed away on November 20, 2018. He was born November 21, 1947 in Cabarrus County, a son of the late John W. and Sarah Hancock Griffin. He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Griffin Biggerstaff. Larry retired from Philip Morris after 26 years. He was a veteran of the US Air Force serving in the Vietnam War. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018 at West Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel officiated by Rev. Richard Erdman. Larry is survived by his wife, Janice Watts Griffin, 2 children, Amy Griffin Wilburn (Chris) and son, Brad David Griffin (Megan) and 3 grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
