�Laruth� Drye Sanders

Obituary: Ethel "Laruth" Drye Sanders, of Kannapolis died Friday, July 13, 2012 at Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House and went home to be with her heavenly Father after five months of declining health. Funeral services will be held at 4 PM Sunday, July 15 at Branchview First Church of God in Concord with Rev. Carlton Davidson officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 3:00 to 4:00 PM prior to the service. At other times the family will be at the home of Wanda and Buddy Beets of 2301 Clay St. in Kannapolis. Laruth was born March 31, 1922 in Cabarrus County, a daughter of the late George W. and Mary Downum Drye. She was a lifelong area resident and member of Branchview First Church of God where she actively served in the nursery. Laruth was also an excellent cook, homemaker, and a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed. In addition to her parents, Laruth was preceded in death by husband, Harley D. Sanders, and nine brothers and sisters. Those left to cherish her memory include a daughter, Wanda Beets (Buddy) of Kannapolis; a grandson, Jeff Beets (Alisa) of Cheraw, SC; a great- granddaughter, Alexis Beets of Cheraw, SC; a sister, Mary Watts of Concord, and many other loving relatives and friends.
