Laura "Myrel" (Boyd) Traylor

Laura “Myrel” Traylor, 91, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Best of Care Assisted Living, Kannapolis, NC.

She was born in Winnsboro, SC to the late James Rufus and Ethel Virginia Hoover Boyd. Myrel graduated from Winnsboro High School and retired from the offices of Cone Mill, Carlisle, SC. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Chester, SC.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Traylor, Sr. and brother, Carroll Boyd.

She is survived by her daughters, Patricia (Peter) Cromwell, Cummings, GA, Renee Traylor, Columbia, SC; and son, Robert E. Traylor, Jr. (Susan) Salisbury, NC; sister Eula (John) DuBose, FL and sister in law Daisy Boyd, SC; grandson Bryan (Dawn) and Sean Cromwell; great-grandchildren Victoria, Juliette and Dillon Cromwell, and extended family.

The family would like to thank the staff of Trinity Living Center, Best of Care Assisted Living, Carolinas Palliative Care, and Hospice for their compassion and care shown to Myrel and her family.

A graveside service will be held at Chester Memorial Gardens in Chester, SC, on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 2:30 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Living Center (adult day care service) 1416 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave S Salisbury, NC 28144.
