Leanese Hilburn Jenkins

Obituary: Leanese Hilburn Jenkins 80, of Concord passed away on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at CMC-NE following a period of declining health. Mrs. Jenkins was born on January 6, 1932 in Georgia, a daughter of the late Daniel and Arie Hilburn. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Earl Thomas Jenkins who died on August 11, 2001. Mrs. Jenkins was formerly employed in textile mills as a sewer and she was of the Baptist faith. Funeral services for Mrs. Jenkins will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, December 3, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM on Monday, December 3, 2012 at the funeral home prior to services. At other times the family will be at her daughters residence (Janice Coleman) in Concord. Mrs. Jenkins is survived by a son; Roger Jenkins and wife Darnell of Kannapolis, two daughters; Janice Coleman and husband Tracy of Concord, and Diane Bowles and husband Mike of West Virginia, a brother; Hoyt Hilburn of Florida, 2 sisters; Pat Harrington and husband Joe of Kannapolis, and Derelle Kiser of Concord, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
