Lee Peeler Cline

Obituary: Lee Peeler Cline, 88, of Kannapolis, NC died Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis. Mr. Cline was born November 22, 1928 in Cabarrus Co., NC a son of the late Paul Cline and the late Ada Shinn Cline. In addition to his parents, Lee is preceded in death by a daughter, Joann Prince, two sons, Carson Cline and Larry Cline and a granddaughter, Mary Ann Foster, brothers; Elmer, James, Robert, Earl, Ray, R.F., and Billy Cline, and by two sisters, Margaret Moore and Catherine Wagoner. Mr. Cline was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Korea and Japan. Mr. Cline worked for the former Cannon Mills Co., working as a slasher tender at plant 1. Lee looked forward to giving most of his "free time" to the church and his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 50 years, Margaret H. Cline, his son, Tony Cline and wife, Miriam, daughters, Phyllis Drye and husband Wayne and Connie Tamburri and husband Ron. Eight grandchildren; Eric (Kristy) Cline, Stephanie (Andy) Burleson, Kristina (Darren) Eudy, Stacye Barringer, Tifaine (Eugene) Hash, Mallory (Evans) Helms, Leslie (Joey) Guillot, and Megan (Jeremy) Healey. Eleven great-grandchildren; Courtney Eudy, Dylan Eudy, Ayden Hash, Kennedy Hash, Waverleigh Hash, Lyric Childress, Kaydence Childress, Keyan Burleson, Kalum Burleson, Madison Guillot and Nicholas Guillot. Also, by a brother, Grady Cline and wife Shirley; two sisters, Annie Keller and husband Leroy and Sue Kanipe and husband, Bobby, sister-in-law's Hazel Cline and Thelma Cline. The service for Mr. Cline will take place at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 11th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Gene Beaver. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park with military honors by the Cabarrus County Honor Guard. Interment: Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis, North Carolina.
