Leona Joplin Fink

Obituary: Leona Gregory Joplin Fink, 83, of Kannapolis passed away Saturday, December 15, 2018. She was born December 27, 1934 in Chesterfield County, SC, a daughter of the late Lonia Belle Gregory. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. "Buck" Fink, two sons, Richard David Joplin Sr and David Sherman Joplin and a daughter Joyce Simmons. Leona had formerly worked at Cannon Mills for many years. She loved being outdoors in her yard doing various activities. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 PM prior at Whitley's. She is survived by two sons, Randy Leon Joplin and Charles Ray Joplin, two daughters, Kathy Atkinson and Margaret Brown, 10 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
