Leonard Barlow, Jr.

Leonard Hall Barlow, Jr., 83, of Kannapolis, North Carolina went home to join his wife of more than 55 years, Marjorie Dixon Barlow, on June 29, 2023.

Leonard was born January 5, 1940, to the late Leonard H. Barlow Sr and Lucille Fellers Barlow.

After working more than 50 years in banking, Leonard retired from SouthTrust Bank, the former CK Federal Savings and Loan, as an Executive Vice-President. He was a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church. Leonard enjoyed the beach, golfing, and working in his yard. Mostly, he loved being with his family.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, July 2, 2023, at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church with Reverend John Futterer and Elizabeth Fisher officiating.  Leonard’s family will receive friends at the church beginning at 1:00 pm. The burial at Carolina Memorial Park will follow the service.

Leonard is survived by his children, Marjorie Lucille “Lou” Barlow; Leonard H. Barlow III “Buddy” and his wife, Sharon; William Dixon Barlow and his wife, Mary; seven grandchildren, Alexandra Roberts and her husband, Seth; Brianna; Caroline; Elizabeth; Lauren; Billy; and Maggie Barlow. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Crawford, and his sister, Joyce Wertz and her husband, Larry.

Leonard’s family would like to thank the staff of the Landings of Cabarrus for their love and care for Leonard and to them during these last months.
