Leonard Caldwell Kee

Obituary: Leonard Caldwell Kee, 83, of Kannapolis, passed away Monday, September 14, 2015 after an extended illness. He was born February 8, 1932 in Cabarrus County to the late James and Lula Horton Kee. Leonard was a faithful member of Prince of Peace Freewill Baptist Church and had worked at Cannon Mills and later with Sloop Painting. He also enjoyed playing the fiddle. Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and four sisters. Leonard is survived by his wife, Lillie Duty Kee of the home and son, Jeffery Lynn Kee and wife, Amanda of China Grove and granddaughter, Riley Jo-Lynn Kee. A funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 17, 2015 at Prince of Peace Freewill Baptist Church with Pastor Chuck Overcash and Pastor Buck Canup officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com
