Leroy David Fleming

Obituary: Leroy David Fleming, 67, of Concord, NC passed away peacefully at CHS-NorthEast in Concord on Monday, August 14, 2017 surrounded by his family. Mr. Fleming was born on July 6, 1950 in Butler, PA, son of the late Willard Eugene Fleming and the late Nelly June Milford Fleming. In addition to his parents, Leroy is preceded in death by a son, Jerald Blair and two brothers; Willard and John Fleming. Mr. Fleming was employed by Blyth Construction Company for the past 23 and a half years. Survivors include his wife; Chiqueitta Rupert Fleming of the home, sons; David Leslie Fleming (Brenda), Lee Aaron Fleming (Christal) Christopher Blair, daughters; Denea Gourley (Vernon), Diane Fleming (Mike Whitehead), and Carla Chitty (Charles), JC Athena Carter (Norman) and Connietta Bennett, 19 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also, by a brother, Jim Fleming and sisters; Mabel Stevens (Tom), Marietta Stover, Glenda Bell (Kenny), Anita McClain (Rodney) Mary Jane McKinny (Paul), Rose Bell (Charlie). The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Whitley's Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held in Pennsylvania in September, date and place to be announced at a later date. Memorials can be left to: Cancer Society of America, P.O. Visitation: The family will receive friends Thursday, August 17th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Whitley's Funeral Home.
