Lester Alan Lucas

Obituary: Lester Alan "Rusty" Lucas, 59, died at CMC-NE in Concord, NC. Death was unexpected. Rusty was born on April 23, 1950, the son of the late George Russell Lucas and the late Phyllis Barr Lucas. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife; Carol Anne Smith Lucas of the home and by three daughters; Pamela Schneider and husband, Steven of Northport, NY, Christina Kelley of Kannapolis and Anne L. Bowen and husband, B. Dreux Bowen of Charlotte. Also by his grandchildren; Jonathan and Andrea Schneider, Jason and Jessica Kelley, Taryn and Meghan Bowen. Rusty loved woodworking and enjoyed making useful items for his family of which they will cherish his memory by. The funeral service for Mr. Lucas will take place at 3 p.m., Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Don Noblitt. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 before the service. Burial will take place in Salt River Cemetery in Shepherd, Michigan.
