Lewis Stephen Witherspoon

Obituary: Lewis Stephen Witherspoon, 56, went home to be with the Lord Monday, March 3, 2014 at CMC-Northeast. Lewis was born September 29, 1957 in Cabarrus County to the late Herbert Junior Witherspoon and the late Annis Alexander Witherspoon. He was employed with Sam's Club in Kannapolis and was a member of Eva Drive Baptist Church; He was a loving husband, father, son-in-law, and uncle. He was a die hard Earnhardt Fan and he loved NASCAR; He also loved his dog Ms. Dale. Survivors include his wife, Kay Witherspoon of the home; a daughter, Crystal Witherspoon of Kannapolis; mother-in-law, Bobbie Lavender of Mt. Holly, NC; brother, Kenneth Witherspoon (Charline) of Lexington, SC; his pride and joy his great niece, Madelyn Terpstra; and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 7, 2014 at Carolina Memorial Park with Rev. Keith Navey officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:30 p.m. prior to the service at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel.
