Leza Thomasee Jr., 92, of Kannapolis passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at his home. He was born December 31,1930, in Monroe, Louisiana to the late Leza Thomasee Sr. and Rissie Fletcher Thomasee.
Leza was a veteran serving in the Marines and Navy. He enjoyed traveling and would often go back to Louisiana and enjoyed visiting Atlantic City with his friends. Leza worked for Orkin, and Rose pest control, before he opened his own exterminating company Crane Exterminator in 1965. He also enjoyed the restaurant industry and co-owned The Orange Bowl, Tommy’s III, Judy’s Restaurant, and BBQ Diner. Leza was also a Mason with Cannon Lodge, as well as a Shriner with the Scottish Right Shriners. He retired at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Thomasee who he was happily married to for sixty-four years prior to her passing in 2013., granddaughter Angel Thomasee, and his brothers and sisters. Leza enjoyed spending time on his boat on Lake Norman striper fishing. He was a devoted father, and husband. He was known to many as “The Bug Man”.
Those left to Cherish his memory are his children Joey Thomasee, Sharron (Judy) Little (Kenneth) Ginn Bondurant (Thomas) Billy Thomasee; his grandkids, Lisa T. Moose (Chad) Brent Thomasee Sharron Little Alex Little Brandi Briggs (Chad) Jason Thomasee Zachary Thomasee; his great grandkids: Madison Thomasee Taylor Briggs Logan Thomasee Dalton Moose Corbin Moose Holden Moose Hadley Moose.
