Obituary: Lillian Porter, 70, of Concord died Sunday, January 26, 2014 at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born September 16, 1943 in Bamberg County, SC, daughter of the late Edwin Dewey DeWitt and Margaret Demsey DeWitt. Funeral services will be private at a later date. She is survived by one daughter, Christine D. Poss (Charles) of the home, one son, Don David Appleton, Jr. of Georgia, one brother, Edwin DeWitt (Janice) of Georgia, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
