Obituary: Lillie Mae Thompson Shaver, 75, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at CHC-NE Medical Center, Concord. Death was unexpected. She was born December 10, 1940 in Mecklenburg County, NC. a daughter of the late P.A. and Maggie Leatherwood Stephenson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Duckett. She was employed for many years at Woonsockett Mill as an inspector prior to her retirement in 2005. She attended Bethpage United Methodist Church and enjoyed working puzzles. Memorial services will be held 3:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Bethpage United Methodist Church conducted by Revs. Mark Portis and Duane Melton. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00-3:00 P.M. Survivors include her husband of 47 years Norman Shaver of the home, brother, Tommy Thomson and wife Shirley of Mint Hill, sister, Lois Hoggard of Mint Hill and two nieces Paula and Lisa.
