Obituary: Lilly Mae Brown Davis, 78, of Landis, NC, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at CMC-Northeast Medical Center.Mrs. Davis was born on June 24, 1933 in Rowan Co., the daughter of the late Walter Brown and the late Mary Morris Brown. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Davis who died in 1998.Lilly was a loving mother and a homemaker. She was a lifetime resident of this area.Survivors include 2 sons; Danny Davis (Patsy) of Kannapolis and Thomas Davis (Saundra) of Richfield, NC; 5 daughters, Toni Porter (Jimmie) and Carol Brown (Bill) both of China Grove, Kathy Cline (David) of Kannapolis, Robin Burdette and Tracy Burdette (Michael) both of Salisbury. Also, by 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 4 brothers; Jess, Bub, Pete and Hoyle Brown and by 2 sisters; Ann and Edith.The funeral service for Mrs. Davis will take place at 1 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 23rd at Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church in Kannapolis, NC conducted by Rev. Jimmy Barnhill. Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends at the church from 11-1 p.m., before the service.
