Linda Joyce (Thompson) Albright

Linda Joyce Thompson Albright, 85, passed away on January 30, 2022.  Linda was born on September 16, 1936 in Rowan County, North Carolina to the late Edgar and Elsie Deal Thompson.

Linda worked for South Rowan High School in the food service department.  She was a loving, God fearing woman, and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  Linda was a member of Back Creek Presbyterian Church and loved to lead fundraising events for the church and the North Carolina State Grange.  She loved to cook and bake cakes for family and friends.

Linda was predeceased by her husband, Sidney “Sid” Albright in 2018 and her sister, Gail Peacock.  Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Lynn Bynum and her husband Joe; her son, Steven Albright; her grandson, Mason Bynum; her brother, Joe Thompson and his wife Edna and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 1:30pm to 3:00pm at Back Creek Presbyterian Church, 2145 Back Creek Church Rd., Mt. Ulla, NC with the funeral service to begin at 3:00pm with Rev. William “Bill” Thraikill officiating.  The interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
