Linda Johnson Bain

Obituary: Linda Marie Johnson Bain, 73, of Kannapolis passed away at Carolinas HealthCare System - Northeast on March 31st, 2017. Her death was unexpected. Linda was born on May 13th, 1943 in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of the late Ned Wilson Johnson and late Mary Lou Lipe Johnson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Bryant Bain, who passed away last year. Mrs. Bain graduated from A.L. Brown High School in the Class of 1961. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and being a part of the "Carolina Girls." She also spent time volunteering with Meals on Wheels and taking meals to shut-ins from her church. Additionally, Linda was employed with Wells Fargo for over 30 years prior to enjoying retirement. Survivors include her children Kelly Lackey (husband Lyn), Kena Sigman (husband Jeff), Larry Keith Blackwelder (wife Traci), as well as step-son James Bryant Bain Jr. (wife Elisa); Grandchildren Lauren Hudson (husband Adam), Sarah Lackey, and Joseph and Grace Sigman; Great-grandchildren Kloe, Kylee, and Piper Hudson; Brother Michael Ned Johnson (wife Cindy) and sister Penny Corriher (husband Reid). A memorial service will be held today, Sunday, April 2nd, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Bethpage United Methodist Church in Kannapolis. The service will be conducted by Rev. Duane Melton and Rev. Marc Portis. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 - 3:00 PM prior to the service. Following, the burial will take place at Carolina Memorial Park. Memorials can be made to Bethpage United Methodist Church, 109 Fellowship Dr. Kannapolis, NC 28081.
Visitation: 2:00-3:00 P.M., Sunday April 2, 2017 Bethpage United Methodist Church.

Service: 3:00 PM, Sunday April 2, 2017 Bethpage United Methodist Church.

Interment: Carolina Memorial Park Kannapolis, North Carolina.
