Linda Diane (Knight) Cheek

Linda Diane Knight Cheek, 79 years old, went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 29, 2024.  Linda was born on July 28, 1944, in Davidson County, to the late Charles Edward and Mamie Lee Dellinger Knight.

Linda was a longtime member of Faith Baptist Church in Kannapolis.  She was a member of the church choir, the ladies auxiliary and she and her husband Atlas used to run the bus ministry for the church.

Linda was predeceased by her husband Atlas Jasper Horne and her son Donald Edward Wallace, Jr.  Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Wayne Horne; her daughter, Michele Lynn Wallace; her grandchildren, Christopher Horne, Daniel Allen, Jessica Allen, and Amber Allen; and her sisters, Betty Grooms and Phyllis Knight.

The family will receive friends on Thursday February 1, 2024, from 6-8pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home and Friday, February 2, 2024 from 2:30pm to 3pm at church. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Friday, February 2, 2024, 3pm at Faith Baptist Church, 904 Chipola St, Kannapolis, NC.  Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
