Linda Byrd Deal

Obituary: Linda Willette Byrd Deal, 78, of Kannapolis went to be with her heavenly Father on Friday, June 26th. Linda was born to the late Marshall and Oleta Canup Byrd on April 9, 1937 in Iredell County. Linda had worked at Barkleys America, C.K. Federal and bookkeeper for her husband at Ralph's Auto Parts. She was of the Lutheran faith and she knew Jesus as her personal Savior. Her memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Monday, June 29, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Bobby Sutherland. Her family will receive friends prior from 4:30 to 6:00 PM at Whitley's. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ralph Leonard Deal, brother, Clarence Edward (Buddy) Byrd and wife Linda, a number of nieces and nephews, her baby Chihuahua "Petey" and her best friends Nancy Brown and Merle Meckes. A special thank you to Hospice nurses, Sylvia Pittman and Hortensia Scott, CNA for their love and care.
