Linda Carol Daniels Dean

Obituary: Linda Carol Daniels Dean, 79, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 19, 2015 at CHS-NE Medical Center, Concord. Death was unexpected. She was born August 1, 1936 in Iredell County, NC a daughter of the late Wade Preston Daniels and the late Edna Lorena Smith Daniels. Linda was a longtime member of Unity United Methodist Church which she dearly loved. She was a member of the Heritage Sunday School Class. She retired from Ivey's Dept. Store with 35 years of service. She also worked in the daycare at Shiloh United Methodist Church and later was a family caregiver. She enjoyed crocheting. Survivors include one daughter, Amy Dean (Mike) of Kannapolis, two sons, James Dean (Tammy) of Ft. Mill, SC and Robert Dean of Mooresville, one sister, Sylvia Strother (Stephen) of Kannapolis, three grandchildren, Wade, Malissa and Alex Dean and a deceased grandson, Will Dean. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at Unity United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Timothy L. Whittington and Rev. Carl Settle. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times they will be at the home of the daughter, Amy Dean. Memorials may be made to the Mobile Meals Ministry or to the Building Fund of Unity United Methodist Church, 8505 Unity Church Road, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
