Linda Hinson

Obituary: Landis, NC- Linda Sherrin Hinson, age 68, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 15, 2014 at the Lutheran Home at Trinity Oaks, Salisbury, NC. She was born September 15, 1945 in Chesterfield County, SC, the daughter of the late Lester Sherrin and Evelyn Walters Sherrin. Prior to her retirement she was employed for many years will Propst Brothers Distributing in Concord. She was a member of Memorial Independent Baptist Church, Landis, NC where she played the piano. Her family fondly remembers her love and taking care of her parents for many years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, David C. Hinson in 2008. The family will gather to celebrate her life in a visitation at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 20, 2014. Burial will be at a later date. Survivors include her three sons, Eric Hinson & wife, Jacqueline and Dwayne Hinson & wife, Shirley, both of Salisbury, NC; and James Hinson & wife, Christina of Florida; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Contributions to pay for funeral expenses may be made to Whitley's Funeral Home, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd., Kannapolis, NC 28083.
