Linda Kay Nicholson Lentz, 71, of China Grove, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, December 16, 2020, at her home.
Born June 26, 1949, in Cabarrus County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Elsie Mae Woodward Nicholson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Alexander Lentz; her step father, Murray Woodward; her brother, Mark Woodward and a nephew, Gene Burnette.
Linda was a 1968 graduate of A.L. Brown High and had attended beauty school. She had worked at Belk’s in Kannapolis and at Curls and Things. She later worked at Cannon Mils and retired from Phillip-Morris. Linda loved all of her family and enjoyed decorating and making things look their best. She was gifted in being able to make her home lovingly beautiful. Mrs. Lentz will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Loving family members include her daughter, Joanna Brown (Ed); her sisters, Lori Ann Woodward Sprinkle and Toni Burnett; grandchildren, Morgan and Adison Brown; niece, Anita Brock; nephews, Josh and Justin Sprinkle; and extended family members.
The family will receive friends Friday, December 18th from 11:00-12:00 pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Linda’s life will begin at 12:00 noon, in the funeral home chapel. Mrs. Lentz will be laid to rest beside her husband at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery.
