Obituary: Linda Marie Schaffer Morgan, age 63, passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, June 20, 2011 at CMC-Main, Charlotte, NC after a prolonged illness.She was born January 5, 1948 in Johnson City, New York, the daughter of the late Walter Charles Schaffer and Dorothy Mae Bird Schaffer. Linda was a dedicated wife and mother to her four daughters. Her family fondly remembers her for the special love and attention that she showed to them. Her six grandchildren have always been a very special part of her life. She enjoyed talking with her sisters, spending time with her closest friends and preparing special meals for her family.A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home prior to the service.Survivors include her husband of 43 years, William Drew Morgan; four daughters, Lori Morgan Perry & husband, Lt. Col. Marshall Clifton Perry, USAF of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Lynn Morgan Hurlocker & husband, Luther Ray Hurlocker, III of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Leslie Morgan Wingler & husband, Lt. Derick Wayne Wingler, USN, and Kristen Morgan Cranford & husband, William Henry Cranford, III of Kannapolis, NC;Six grandchildren, Kaylie Wingler, Kyle Perry, Sydney Perry, Brylie Wingler, Katelyn Hurlocker, and Henleigh Cranford;Two sisters, Joyce Francisco of Vestal, NY and Dee Pipik of Endwell, NY;Four brothers, Robert Schaffer and Raymond Schaffer, both of Newark Valley, NY, John Schaffer of Vestal, NY, and Donald Schaffer of Endicott, NY.
Visitation: 9:30-11 a.m., Thursday at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: 11 a.m., Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Interment: Carolina Mem. Park.
