Linda Houser Plummer

Obituary: Linda Houser Plummer, age 62, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at her home after a lengthy illness battling cancer. She was born June 25, 1952 in Lincoln County, NC, the daughter of the late James Marshall Houser and Maudie Bivens Houser. Linda was employed in the hosiery industry for many years. She also in later years was self-employed with own cleaning service. Her family fondly remembers her love of cooking for her family and going fishing in her spare time. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister that was cherished very highly by her family. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Petty. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 29, 2015 at Eastside Baptist Church, 199 Elgin Court, Concord, NC officiated by Revs. Bill Perkins and Rex Burleson. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC. Survivors include her two sons, Johnny Fredell and Paul (Marti) Fredell, both of Concord, NC; three grandchildren, Amanda and Tanner Fredell and Jasmine Brown, two sisters, Lisa (James) Canupp and Judy Michael, both of Concord, NC; one brother, Robert Houser of Concord, NC; one half-sister, Ailene Smith of Vale, NC; and Elizabeth Murray of Concord, NC who was like a mother to her.
