Linda Joy Poisson

Obituary: Linda Joy Poisson, 52, of 1099 Wildflower Lane., Salisbury, NC died at Rowan Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, June 23, 2010. Mrs. Poisson was born on May 19, 1958 in Leonardtown, MD, the daughter of the late John Jackson Joy and the late Mabel Lee Baublitz Joy. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Henry Poisson who died in 1996 and a half brother, Richard Meeks. Linda has made her residence here since 1973. She was the manager of Caremoor Retirement Center in Kannapolis. A Memorial Service will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel at 11 A.M., Monday, June 28th conducted by Rev. Lorrain Mullinax. Burial will take place at a later date. The family will receive friends after the Memorial Service. She is survived by her daughter, Paula Mary Freeman of the home. By two brothers; John Jackson Joy of Spartanburg, SC and Edward Jacob Joy of Inman, SC and by 2 sisters; Lorraine Mullinax of Spartanburg, SC and Tammy Hardesty of Lexington Park, MD. She is also survived by a half sister, Peggy Meeks of Lexington Park, MD. Linda will greatly be missed by her loving canine companions; Nestor, Bella and Lexie.
