Linda Robinson

Obituary: Linda Ruth Ferguson Robinson, 72, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 17, 2017 at Tucker Hospice House following a period of declining health. She was born January 11, 1945 in Rowan County, NC a daughter of the late Glenn Smith Ferguson and Anna Ruth Deal Ferguson. She was also preceded in death by a son, David Scott Deese who died July 4, 1984 and a brother, Donny Ray Ferguson. Linda was a faithful member of Kimball Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Gladys Harper Circle, Wellness Wednesdays, Evangelism Committee and the Christian Fellowship Sunday School Class. She was a hairdresser and cosmetologist for many years. She taught continuing education for the N.C. Board of Cosmetology and volunteered haircuts at the Stonewall Jackson Training School for ten years. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a Mom to many. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Elizabeth Fisher. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Monday, August 21, 2017. At other times they will be at the residence. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Survivors include her husband of 45 years, Nevin Robinson, one son, Michael D. (Kimberly) Deese of Kannapolis, one daughter, Nevina Leigh Robinson (Buddy) Christy of Kannapolis, three granddaughters, one grandson, two great grandchildren and several others thru love.
