Linnie Campbell Nesbitt

Obituary: Linnie Campbell Nesbitt, age 84, passed away on Thursday, January 29, 2015 at her home after a period of declining health. She was born March 4, 1930 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of the late Howard Taylor Campbell and Katie Overcash Campbell. Linnie was an administrative assistant actively involved with the former office of Dr. Earl Correll in Kannapolis from 1954 until his retirement in 1999. She was a lifelong member of St. Enoch Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC where she served as church organist for forty years. Known as �unt Linnie" to everybody, she was a "people" person. She also enjoyed anything involving the outdoors and even mowed her own lawn for as long as she could. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Breece C. Nesbitt; and seven siblings; and a step-son, Breece C. Nesbitt, Jr. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, February 1, 2015 at St. Enoch Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. John Merck. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service. The family will be at the home of her brother, Dallas Campbell, the remainder of the interim. The family would like to say a special thank you to Debbie Osmon and Patty Russell, special caretakers, for their loving support of Linnie during the time of her serious illness. Survivors include two brothers, Dallas K. (Kae) Campbell and Robert Banks Campbell, both of Kannapolis, NC; step-children, Peggy (Tommy) Clark of Columbia, SC; Ronnie (Ruby) Nesbitt of Miller's Creek, NC and a number of nieces & nephews.
