Obituary: Lois Isenhour Freeman went to her Heavenly home on Monday, July 6, 2015. Lois was born in Gaston County, NC, the daughter of the late Joseph Broadus Short and Sarah Elizabeth (Sally) Green Short. She attended Gaston County Schools and Rowan Community College. She was owner & operator of the former Bon Marche' dress shop in Kannapolis for many years. Lois was a faithful member of Parkwood Baptist Church, Concord, NC where she was active especially in her Sunday school class. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her 1st husband, Francis Caldwell (Ike) Isenhour; 2nd husband, Lester Freeman; a son, Jimmy R. Isenhour; and three brothers. A private graveside service per her wishes will be held for the family at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Michael Waters. The family will then receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 PM Thursday afternoon at the family ministry center of Parkwood Baptist Church, Concord, NC. Survivors include one son, F. Richard Isenhour & wife, Elizabeth; a granddaughter, Lisa Martin; a grandson, Brian R. Isenhour & wife, Sherry; one great-grandson; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Jean Barber; nieces, Debbie Jenkins, Wendy Wade; and a number of nieces & nephews; one step-son; three step-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; a former daughter-in-law, Ann Ray who was like a daughter whom she loved very much. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lois' favorite charity, The Salvation Army, 216 Patterson Avenue, SE, Concord, NC 28025.
