Lois Ruth Booth Harvey

Obituary: Salisbury, NC- Lois Ruth Booth Harvey, age 84, died Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Rowan Regional Medical Center, Salisbury, NC after a period of declining health. Lois was born July 3, 1929 in Pulaski County, VA, the daughter of the late Fred Booth and Margaret Frances Hare Booth. Lois was employed with the former Linn-Corriher Mills, Landis, NC for thirty years until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of God faith. Her family fondly remembers her love of gardening. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Sewell Harvey; and two sisters, Lillian Kiker and Betty Correll. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Wayne J. Miller and Rev. Michael Harvey. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service. Survivors include two daughters, Frances Mason of Albemarle, NC, Charlene Harvey Yerton of S.C.; three sons, Bill Harvey of Kannapolis, NC, Terry Harvey of FL, and Robert (Bobby) Harvey of Salisbury, NC; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
