Obituary: Loma Griffin Wyatt, 87 of 1003 Haley St. Kannapolis died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at CMC-Northeast after an extended illness. She was born April 23, 1923 in Union County, NC to the late Thomas and Roxie Plyler Griffin. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter L. Wyatt, a daughter, grandson and eleven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 28, 2010 at Whitley's funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Harvey officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Sunday at Whitley's Funeral Home. At other times the family will receive friends at 126 Emily Rd., China Grove, NC. Mrs. Wyatt is survived by two daughters: Sharon Wyatt of China Grove, NC. And Carolyn Pope of Rockwell, NC.; 3 grandchildren, Jenny Myers and husband Chris of Kannapolis, NC., Tamika Wheeler and husband Scott, of China Grove., NC., and Sarah Pope of Rockwell, NC; four great grandchildren; Samantha Goodman, Mack Goodman, Christian Wheeler and Rylee Darlene Wheeler.
