Lonnie Eugene Bost

Lonnie Eugene Bost of Kannapolis, NC passed away peacefully Friday, on July 23rd, surrounded by his family and friends, at Atrium Hospice House of Kannapolis.

Mr. Bost was born October 27, 1936 to the late Lonnie Brown Bost and Sylvia Wilson Lowder.

He retired as a commercial truck driver from Consolidated Freight, where he served the road faithfully for 30 years. Although his career was on the road his passion was quail hunting. He was an avid quail guide for Devils Rib Hunting Reserve in Peachland NC. He truly loved to share his passion of hunting with his fellow hunters.

Mr. Bost was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ravenelle Mitchell Bost. He is survived by his daughter Gena Bost Holshouser, husband Rodney. Son, Rick A. Wagoner, wife Cindy. Granddaughter Anna O. Lamberth, husband Joshua. Sister Alice B. McCrorie, brother Larry B. Bost, and sister Patti L. Furr.

The receiving of family and friends will be on Tuesday July 27th 2021 from 6-8pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 28th 2021 in the chapel at Whitley’s Funeral Home at 11am. Graveside services will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.

Mr. Bost loved and cherished his many friends and family members. He will truly be missed by all that know him.
