Obituary: KANNAPOLIS - Loree Seagle, 94, formerly of Kannapolis, died on April 10, at White Oak Manor, Charlotte. The last surviving child of Virgie Lou and Roy Eaker of Cherryville, Mrs. Seagle was preceded in death by her husband, Frank L. Seagle; and six brothers and sisters. She will be remembered as the longtime secretary of Trinity United Methodist Church in Kannapolis, and also served as a groundbreaker for women in the area of sales as a district manager for Avon products in the 1950s and 1960s. Loree always had kind words for all and will be dearly remembered by her two daughters, Linda Seagle of Charlotte and Anna Ree Heidemann (Richard) of Fremont, Neb. She is also survived by two grandsons, Dr. Richard Heidemann of Albion, Neb., and Jeffery Heidemann (Julie) of Pine Mountain, Ga.; and two great-grandchildren. The family will greet family and friends on Monday, April 13, 2009, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel in Kannapolis, 1748 Dale Earnhardt Blvd. Weather permitting, a graveside service will follow at Carolina Memorial Park at 2 p.m. Otherwise, it will be held in Whitley's Annex Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Women at Trinity United Methodist Church, 416 E. First St., Kannapolis, NC 28083.
