Loreine (Fleeman) Pulliam

June 18, 1930 — October 2, 2021

Kannapolis

Loreine Fleeman Pulliam, 91, of Kannapolis, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Atrium Health Cabarrus following a period of declining health, but death was unexpected.

Born June 18, 1930, in Franklin County, GA, she was a daughter of the late Buford and Azalee P. Fleeman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Thomas “Buck” Pulliam; a daughter, Barbara Watkins; brothers, Tom, Jack and Coylee Fleeman, and a sister, Pearlie Joyner.

Mrs. Pulliam had retired from Stayon after many years of faithful service and was a member of Central Baptist Church.  Loreine was tirelessly devoted to her family and was always there for them. She had a passionate love for all children, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Being blessed with a “green thumb”, she had a passion for gardening, enjoyed working in her yard and loved her flowers.  A loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother, Mrs. Pulliam will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her life, her love and her memories are her daughter, Deborah Morris (Roger Tinsley); her brothers, Robert Fleeman and Gary Fleeman (Ruby); sister, Mary Smith; her grandchildren, Davey Whitley (Yvonne), Chandra Smith (Jeff), Jason “J.P.” Whitley (Mallory) and Kindrae Smith (Eric); her great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Aaron and Jacob Smith, and Ellory and Jacksyn Whitley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 pm on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Whitley’s Funeral Home. Services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Pulliam will begin at 3:00 pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Rev. Curtis Parker.  Mrs. Pulliam will be laid to rest with her husband and daughter at Carolina Memorial Park following the services.

For those who may prefer, memorials in Mrs. Pulliam’s name may be made to Hospice of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC  28021.
