Lou Jean (Pethel) Correll

Lou Jean Pethel Correll, 88, of Carolina Beach, NC, formerly of Kannapolis, NC went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2022.  Lou was born on September 26, 1933 in Cabarrus County to the late Frank Colby and Kathleen Correll Pethel.

Ms. Correll was a Vice President of Commercial Accounts at First Union Bank prior to her retirement.

She was predeceased by her husband, Marvin Eugene Correll in 2014.  Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Lynn William Correll and his wife Mary; her daughter, Kathy Correll Cook; her grandchildren, James Correll and his wife Brandi, Kara Correll Bushey and her husband Marvin, Philip Cook and his wife Jackie, Taylor Cook and Madison Cook; her great grandchildren, Cole Correll, Jaiden Correll, Lincoln Bushy and Graham Bushy and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Home from 1-1:45pm with a graveside service to follow at 2pm at Carolina Memorial Park.
