Louise Fritts

Obituary: China Grove, NC- Louise Griffin Fritts, age 84, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Liberty Commons, Salisbury, NC after a period of declining health. She was born March 27, 1932 in Rowan County, NC, the daughter of the late Ernest Lee Griffin and Nellie Sullivan Griffin. Louise was employed with the former Cannon Mills Company, Plant One, Sheet Dept. for over 45 years until her retirement. She was a former member of Grace Covenant Church, Kannapolis, NC but now a member of Jackson Park Pentecostal Holiness Church, Kannapolis, NC for close to twenty years. She is remembered for her cooking: sourdough bread and fruit cakes. She also liked to work in her yard raking leaves and gardening. For many years she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir at both churches throughout the years. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Fritts, Jr.; and one brother, Everette Griffin. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, March 10, 2017 at Grace Covenant Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Pastors Glynn Weatherby, Jr. and Glynn Weatherby III. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM Friday at the church prior to the funeral service. Survivors include her son, Jeff Fritts & wife, Donna of China Grove, NC; three grandsons, Caleb Fritts, Benjamin Fritts, and Daniel Fritts; her brothers, Hubert Griffin of Gastonia, NC and Thomas Griffin of Kannapolis, NC; and her sister, Pauline Reynolds of Kannapolis, NC.
