Louise L. Biggerstaff

July 18, 1928 — November 11, 2015

Obituary: Louise L. Biggerstaff, age 87, went to be with her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 after a period of seven years of declining health. Mrs. Biggerstaff was born in Cabarrus County on July 18, 1928, the daughter of the late Lester "Luke" Lawing and Edna Borders Lawing. She graduated from J.W. Cannon High School in 1945. She married her husband, Clinton Biggerstaff on November 30, 1947. She worked in the Sewing Room at Cannon Mills for 45 years. She was a faithful member of First Wesleyan Church in Kannapolis where she was on numerous committees and a member of the Friendly class and Lovin Circle. She enjoyed singing in the choir and ladies ensemble, and also taught children's Sunday School in earlier years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton W. Biggerstaff in 1989 and her brother, Herman Lawing of Raleigh, NC. Left to cherish her memories are her son, Tony Biggerstaff and wife, Dianne, her granddaughter, Kristen Logan and husband, David, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A service celebrating the life of Mrs. Biggerstaff will be held on Friday, November 13 at 2:30pm at First Wesleyan Church with Rev. Scott Wheeler and Dr. Forbis Kivett officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30-2:00pm at the church prior to the service. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Caremoor Retirement Center for the tender loving care they gave "Miss B" for the past six years. They would also like to thank Hospice and Palliative Care for their support during the last few months of her illness.
