Obituary: The world lost one of its most creative children on Friday, July 29, 2016 when Louise Little McQuay peacefully passed away at the Tucker Hospice House, with her daughter Terry by her side. For 87 years, those fortunate enough to cross her path saw their lives enriched by her infectious smile, sharp wit, and her devoted friendship. Louise was born January 1, 1929 in Cabarrus County, NC, daughter of the late Claude B. Little and the late Grace Marie Kiser Little. She was a graduate of Cannon High School, was employed at Bell South as an operator, retail clothing sales, Charlotte Rehabilitation Hospital and was a seamstress. She was a longtime member of Kirkwood Presbyterian Church, loved gardening and being creative as a seamstress and interior designer. Louise was also preceded in death by husbands, Bill McQuay and Paul Tracy, a sister Jane Martin and a brother Howard (Buck) Little. Survivors include her daughter, Terry Tracy of Kannapolis, three sisters, Barbara Suggs (George) of Kannapolis, Helen Sherrill (Wayne) of Mooresville and Gail Anderson (late husband Don) of Kannapolis. She is also survived by one brother, Danny Little (Anita) of Kannapolis. Funeral services will be 4:00 P.M. Monday, August 1, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Debi Madden. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3:00-4:00 P.M. prior to the service. At other times the family will be at her residence.
