Louise Donehue Roberts

Obituary: Louise Donehue Roberts, 88, of Kannapolis, NC, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2015 at Universal Healthcare of Concord. She was born April 6, 1927 in Chesterfield County, S.C., the daughter of the late Whiteford Donehue and Mattie Gulledge Donehue. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Earl Raymond Roberts in 2013. She retired from Cannon Mills Plant 1 after many years of service. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM Thursday, July 30, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel in Kannapolis, NC, officiated by Rev. Toni Ruth Smith. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:00 PM prior to the service at Whitley's. Louise is survived by two daughters, Kim Davis (Tim) and Pam Parker (Richard) both of Concord, four grandchildren, Capt. Matt Parker (Megan), Tommy Parker, Luke Davis, Colby Davis, four great grandchildren, Jaxson, Lux, Jordyn and Jace Parker, two sisters, Susie Canupp, Peggy Bonds, her brother, Charlie Donehue (Vicky), her oldest niece and honorary sister, Ruth Rivers and many other loving nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff and residents of Universal Healthcare for the love and care shown to Louise and her family during her stay there.
