Louise Morrow Smith

Obituary: Louise Morrow Smith, age 82, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Big Elm Nursing Center, Kannapolis, NC. She was born on April 22, 1932 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Hampton Philmore Morrow and Winnie Brock Morrow. Louise worked for Fieldcrest-Cannon, Inc. until her retirement in 1991. Louise was an active member of Living Waters Church of God, formerly known as Lane Street Church of God in Kannapolis. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Louise is preceded in death by her husband of forty-seven years, George T. Smith in 2002; a son, Glenn A Tomlin; a sister, Gladys D. Daniels; and brothers, Larry Wayne Morrow and Charles E. Morrow. The funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Wade Easom. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, January 19, 2015 at Whitley's Funeral Home. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staff of Big Elm Nursing Center for their love and care given to our mother during the time of her sickness. Survivors include her two daughters, Sharon S. Vaughn & husband, Steve of Concord, NC and Timisha S. Adams & husband, Frankie of Kannapolis, NC; two grandchildren, Eric S.
