Louise Mclaurin Wentz

Obituary: Louise McLaurin Wentz, 98, passed away Saturday, February 02, 2013 at Universal Health Care. Mrs. Wentz was born July 8, 1914 in Anson County to the late William David McLaurin and Virgie Murph McLaurin. Louise worked in the mill for many years and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Griffin of Okatie, S.C., Judy Starnes of Wellford, SC, and Vergie Krimmginger of Concord, NC; ten grandchildren, Julie Cannon, Jerea Brown, Gayle Ingram, Nikki Robinson, Frank Starnes, III, Sherry Fortenberry, Greg Starnes, Lori K. Tate, Laura Owens, and Paul Harrington, III; and twelve great grandchildren. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Wentz; a daughter, Helen Shue; and a son, Paul Edmond Harrington, Jr. A funeral service will held 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 4, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home with the Rev. James Stirckland officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
