Lula Garmon

Obituary: - Lula Mae Woodard Garmon, 76, passed away Friday morning August 9, 2013 at Country Home Assisted Living in Concord. Mrs. Garmon was born in Stanly County November 7, 1936 to the late Ray and Pallie Hamilton Woodard. She was married to the late Charles Tucker Garmon who preceded her. Lula was a homemaker, was of the Baptist faith, and she loved to sing. Survivors include her five sons, Charles Timothy Garmon of Georgia, Dale Eugene Garmon of Kannapolis, Grover Steve Garmon of Kannapolis, Richard Lee Garmon of Georgia, and Marvin Wayne Garmon of Georgia. Twelve grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one brother and three sisters. A Memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 11, 2013 at Whitley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim McQueen officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. prior to the service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the familyask that contributions be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County 5003 Hospice Lane Kannapolis, NC 28081.
