Lynda Kaye Yow Bunton

Obituary: Linda Kaye Yow Bunton, age 67, died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, NC after a short illness.She was born February 15, 1944 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Henry Yow and Rosalie Honeycutt Yow. She attended J.W. Cannon High School in Kannapolis, NC.Lynda was employed with Hardee's in Kannapolis and later with the former Phillip Morris, Inc., Concord, NC. In her later years she retired after working at the K & W Cafeteria in both Concord and Kannapolis. Lynda enjoyed attending Charity Baptist Church, Kannapolis, NC with her sister. She is fondly remembered for loving and spending time with her family. Also, she was called an "exceptional mother-in-law." In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her former husband, Grady Bunton; one sister, Kathy Yow Harmon; three brothers, Larry Max Yow, Charlie Wayne Yow, and Donnie Neil Yow. The funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Robert Wensil. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Whitley's Funeral Home. Survivors include her two daughters, Lynn Bunton Darling & husband, Ron and Robin Bunton McClenney & husband, Cecil of Kannapolis, NC; her son, Michael Ray Bunton of Concord, NC; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Monty Yow of Kannapolis, NC; two sisters, Jane Mesimer of Cornelius, NC and Marty Yow Wensil of Iron Station, NC; Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Whitleys Funeral Home.

Service: The funeral service will be held at 1:30 P.M. Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Whitleys Funeral Home Main Chapel.

Interment: Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove, NC.
