Mable Campbell Baucom

Obituary: Baucom, Mable Campbell Mable Campbell Baucom, 79 of Kannapolis, NC died at the Bob and Carolyn Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis on Wednesday, July 4th. Mrs. Baucom was born in Cabarrus County on Feb. 25, 1933, the daughter of the late Robert E. Campbell and the late Callie Lansford Campbell. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her a son, Richard E. Witherspoon and a brother, Lax E. Campbell. Mrs. Baucom was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Parkwood Baptist Church. She had retired with Cannon Mills working in the cutting room and in recent years worked in the cafeteria at Winecoff Elementary School. The funeral for Mrs. Baucom will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 7th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Michael Waters and Rev. Darrell Coble. Burial will follow at Carolina Mem. Park. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 9:30-11:00 before the service. Survivors include her husband, Foster W. Baucom of the home; a daughter; Brenda Seaford (Gary) of Clover, S.C.; 3 step-daughters, Shelby Brewer (Tim) of Greensboro, NC, Linda Squires (Henry) of Jacksonville, FL and Barbara Kiser (Larry) of Kannapolis; a son, Chris Baucom of NY; 10 grandchildren and a sister, Lillie Stevens of Kannapolis.
