Madeleine Mary Welch

Obituary: Madeleine Mary Welch, 83, of Concord, passed away Thursday, May 28, 2015 peacefully with her family by her side at her residence of First Assembly Living Center in Concord. Her Memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM, Monday, June 1 at Whitley's Funeral Home Annex Chapel with Pastor Michael Landrum officiating. Visitation will follow. Survivors include her daughters; Linda Roberts (Jim) of Concord, Gail Jackson (Leigh) of Wells River, VT and her sons; Pat Welch of Burlington and Gary Welch of Concord. Her grandchildren include (Linda and Jim's) - Jimmy, John, Jeff and Jason, (Gail's) - Jamie Hines, (Pat's) - Rebecca Hagedorn and Matthew Welch, (Gary's) - Leah Beattie and Adam Welch; great-grandchildren include Hayley, Aiden, Jacob, Cecilia, Karter, Kylea, Aubrey and Addisyn. Madeleine was born in Burlington, VT and loved it there, but as many of her family members moved south after the passing of her beloved husband, Joseph Kenneth Richard Welch, she too decided to make the move for warmer weather in the winter. She was one of six and the last to seek the Lord. Madeleine loved Elvis, Dale Earnhardt, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. and racing altogether. Lilacs were her favorite flower and she had many bushes in the backyard of her Burlington home. She will be missed, but never forgotten! We will always cherish you, Your family
